Yummy! September 7, 2010 Perchance to Dream (USA) I've tried three recipes so far (I've only had it for a day).
The Quicker-Than-Take-Out Orange Chicken was simply amazing.
The vanilla cake batter shake was great. The rich and creamy hot chocolate, not so much - but that is probably because I am not a fan of European style hot chocolate. I prefer the milk-chocolate variety.
I never would have guessed 'diet' food could taste so good!
Will actually make most of the recipes August 29, 2010 J. Rowdy (Denver) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the book and started to go thru the recipes, marking which to try. A few minutes into it, had to stop marking the pages, cuz they all looked like something I would fix. Tried 3 this weekend and all were very good. Be sure to read the tips about using Splenda instead of sugar. Then you can adjust your favorite recipes also. If you are wondering if cookies can taste good without lots of sugar, yes, yes, yes. The recipes are easy to understand and all have large color pictures. The best of her Splenda cookbooks.
recipes with lower fat, sugar and calories - delicious, too! August 27, 2010 L. Sloan (Dearborn Heights, MI United States) 428 pages of recipes without sugar (mostly using Splenda) - a big book! It has nutritional info at the bottom of each recipe, making it easy to check points for Weight Watcher followers, or just those watching their calories. Tons of valuable tips on everything you need to know to eat healthy, plus more!! So many recipes that look delicious it's hard to decide what to try first! Enough photos to see what kind of foods you'll be making. From smoothies and shakes to muffins, quick breads and coffee cakes, breakfasts, entrees, appetizers, soups and chilis, salads, pasta, veggies, poultry, meat and fish, to all kinds of desserts - you can't go wrong if you're trying to eat what you love and love what you eat! Great for diabetics, too. Marlene Koch is fabulous, and shares something new at the top of each recipe. Many recipe "makeovers" of long-time favorites. If I could have only one cookbook in my kitchen (besides ones for my pressure cooker), this would be it!!
Great Cookbook August 14, 2010 jazzy chef One of the best cookbooks I have ever owned. Have made at least 25 recipes from this book and love everyone of them, which is hard to say of most of the other cookbooks I own and there are a lot of them from everywhere. You definitely WILL NOT be wasting your money with this one and your family will love the recipes.
